Community Mural Painting Event

Paint your Community, Plant a Seed of Kindness

Mural Painting Event

Our MSPCS outdoor play space is now an OLE (Outdoor Learning Environment). An outdoor learning environment is as essential to a child’s development as their classroom or indoor learning environment. The OLE enhances the learning experience for our students. The planting and creation of our butterfly garden was the first phase of our OLE. The next phase was our Plant a Seed of Kindness Mural. Design and painting of the mural was donated by Miki Foged, a parent at our school and local artist.

On April 30, 2017 we joined as a school and community to finish the mural and bring our vision of a community mural alive. This special community event was such a success. Thanks to the artistic talent and vision of Miki Foged children, family and friends came together to paint this piece of history on the wall of our preschool building. We also learned all about butterflies from Mary Benton, founder and president of Bound by Beauty.

This community event was organized by our school, sponsored in part by our Parent Association, with the support of our church.
